Melon ‘Sushi’

pinit

Melon and ham. I adore that combination. The sweetness of the melon and the saltiness of the ham – what could be better? Well, how about some cucumber. Just for a change.

Labor-wise, these are a pain in the arse. And probably not REALLY worth the effort unless you figure out a better way of doing them. I made a mess. And ended up with about 10. All right, 10 REALLY TASTY little bites of goodness, but just 10 nevertheless. I could never cater a wedding with these…

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. This is pretty darn easy.. from a typing instructions point of view. But what a hassle!

  2. I basically cut up the melon into chunks. (Easy.)

  3. Separated the ham into strips. (Relatively easy.)

  4. Using a vegetable peeler, peeled the cucumber then sliced really thin long strips of cucumber. They were almost transparent. (Pain in the arse.)

  5. Assemble.
